Job Title: Part-Time Church Preschool Director

Location: Greystone Baptist Church, Raleigh, NC

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to serve as the Director of our half day church preschool program. As the Director, you will oversee all aspects of the preschool, ensuring a nurturing, safe, and enriching environment for children. You will be responsible for curriculum development, staff management, parent communication, and program administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with the mission and values of the church.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise teaching staff, ensuring compliance with state licensing regulations and church policies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where children feel valued, loved, and supported in their growth and development.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child’s progress and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including budgeting, scheduling, enrollment, and facility maintenance.
  • Collaborate with church preschool council to integrate Christian values and teachings into the preschool program.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a preschool or childcare setting is preferred.
  • Clean criminal record check with no history of conviction of a felony, violent crime, or crime of moral turpitude, child abuse or neglect.
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with state licensing requirements for preschools and willingness to maintain compliance.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the church, with a desire to integrate faith into the preschool curriculum.
