Our Program
Greystone Baptist Preschool provides a weekday program in a Christian environment that benefits the children and parents of our community. Greystone Baptist Preschool’s half-day program is a ministry of Greystone Baptist Church.
Greystone Baptist Preschool provides quality care for infants to pre-kindergarten-aged children. The school’s curriculum is designed to develop children in a comprehensive manner, encompassing their individual, social, cognitive, physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional growth. Learning is fostered in a loving and safe environment, with input from children, parents, and staff members.
Our preschool welcomes 50 children, ranging in age from 8 weeks to pre-kindergarten, and is supported by a dedicated team of staff members. Our Classes
Tadpoles Class
This program is offered on a 5-day basis and is open to children 8 weeks old through 12 months. Our teachers in this room offer a loving and nurturing environment. Children will learn to socialize, enjoy “art” projects and music always filling the air. We offer a very safe and nurturing environment where we model God’s love to them. Learning through Play!
Frogs Class
This program is offered on a 5-, 3- or 2-day week and is open to children 12 months – 24 months. The teachers in this room are amazing and teach children how to self-soothe, enjoy going outside, art projects and “listening” and “following” directions. A very happy and loving environment daily! Circle Time, Movement, Music and Art are offered throughout the week.
Busy Bees Class
This program is offered on a 5-, 3- or 2-day week and is open to children 24 months and up to 3. The teachers in this room use a Montessori approach and children truly learn how to make choices and have the benefit of an open classroom environment. A very loving and happy group! We offer a very safe and nurturing environment where again, we model God’s love to them. This class enjoys Circle Time, Movement Music, Art and Chapel once a week. A fun and great introduction to Preschool for your Two-year old!
Caterpillars Class
This program is offered on a 5, 3- or 2-day week and is open to children 2 ½ and up to 3 ½. Our teachers in this room have many years of experience and love to work with children. Creative Play is offered daily while your child learns how to recognize colors shapes and begins counting. It’s all about learning through play! They are slightly more structured as they are trying to prepare them for a 4-year-old classroom.
Butterflies Class
This program is offered on a 5-day week as these little ones are getting ready to fly from the nest. They will continue to learn through play in all areas as they learn to make good choices, respect others in the room, socialize with others along the way, learning all the things needed for kindergarten. We provide readiness skills to facilitate a positive transition to Kindergarten. Children are introduced to letters and sounds through weekly themes and activities. Our program is center based play with an educational purpose. We also offer Movement, Bible (Chapel) Art and Music to our classes. Children in this area must be potty-trained. With this program we hope to instill the joy of learning for years to come.
