The GBC Youth Group participated in their annual Disciple Now Retreat during the weekend of November 6-8 with an emphasis on the idea of being “Unashamed”. They met in small groups during the weekend to discuss how they can be unashamed of themselves because they were created in God’s image. They can also be unashamed of God, and they showed as much by spending time Saturday afternoon participating in several service projects in the local community and around the church. The weekend concluded with students sharing about their experience during the 11:00 worship service on Sunday, November 8 held in the Sanctuary at Greystone Baptist Church.
The retreat could not have been possible without all of the time given by the leaders who walked through the lessons and service projects with the students all weekend, the host families who generously welcomed students into their homes for the weekend, and all of the loving volunteers who provided food to the students during the course of the weekend. It was wonderful to be reminded that the church family nurtures the faith of the students.
