Surprises in the Garden

Well, we have transition from spring to summer and are facing long, hot days.  Our objective now is to water, water, water!  We also placed netting over some of the vegetables to discourage deer from munching! We have moved the area for accepting compost to the other half of the compost bin.  Please bring your coffee grounds and filters—they are much needed! In the first half where we placed compost we have surprises!  The following vegetables have sprouted from seeds from scraps put in earlier this year: potatoes, tomatoes, corn, onions, and peppers!  So we will let them grow and see what happens!

Walker and Tana Grace recently helped dig potatoes from two plants that died.  We will let the other potato plants continue to grow.  Come by and see our sweet potatoes and green beans growing! We also have zucchini and tomatoes growing.
