What’s Growing On?

The children’s Mission Garden had a bountiful spring harvest. There was lots of lettuce (including Romaine – which could probably have been sold for a premium) and kaboodles of kale delivered to North Raleigh Ministries. They appreciate fresh veggies – especially greens.

The days are longer and the sun is hotter, so now we’ve moved on to our summer veggies. Check out our garden – we have sweet potatoes, tomatoes, zucchini, white potatoes, and green beans growing. Soon we’ll have even more fresh vegetables to donate to our neighbors in need.

Our next challenge will be keeping our unwanted four-legged friends away….those pesky, hungry, but beautiful deer.
