Projects at Greystone
Baked Goods: bake goodies at home and bring to church on Inasmuch Day or drop off at church Thursday May 5th. (no limit)
Deliver Baked Goods: deliver baskets of goodies to Firefighter, Police, Nurses and other organizations (6-7 familes)
Skip’s Chefs: project named after Skip Peterson a longtime Greystone Cook. You will help cook Lasagna and Spaghetti that will be delivered to sick and shut in. (5)
Bean Soup Mix: Assemble bags of soup mix that will be distributed to those in need through Urban Ministries (10)
Write Notes to Soldiers: write notes or draw picture to send to soldiers stationed at Fort Bragg (no limit)
Projects at Greystone: We will be doing jobs around Greystone: cleaning church van and other projects working with the Properties Team (10-12)
Projects in Community
North Raleigh Ministries: work in their store near the church sorting donated items and other jobs at store (6-8)
Vestal Spring Yard Clean-up: brighten Cindy and John’s day by helping with their yard work and some inside projects (6-8)
Alliance Medical: working in their community garden (4-8)
Hugh’s Operation Handyman at Bethlehem Church: project named after Hugh Castleberry a longtime Greystone member. We will be working with Bethlehem Baptist Church (near Six Forks Rd. and Sawmill Rd) at their church doing light work. (10)
Hugh’s Operation Handyman at Greystone members: We will be going to a few church members homes to help with small projects they may not be able to do. (4-5)
Wyatt Ministries: One of our 6 Mission Partners. We will have 2 different projects:
- Help move in a refuge family in North Raleigh (3-5)
- Clean Welcome House near Cameron Village (3-5)
Collections For Women’s Center, SECU house & Food Pantries
Bring your items to church before (Gathering room has box) or bring your items on May 7th
Items needed: Soaps, wash cloths, towels, twin sheets, pillows or other toiletry needs, can meats, cereal, peanut butter & other nonperishable food items
