Each year, the first Sunday of October, Christians around the world gather at the Lord’s table for bread and drink. At Greystone, we celebrate this global celebration of Christ’s expansive table by offering stations in the four corners of our sanctuary to represent the four corners of the world. At each station, there is bread from a different continent. During the time of communion, all are invited to choose one table from which to receive communion. As the elements of bread and drink are received, we give God thanks for the many and diverse ways in which God’s presence is known in our lives; and for the ways that God nourishes us for the journeys of life and faith.
