Life Gets Complicated for Youth at Unidiversity Youth Camp

The youth group from Greystone Baptist Church joined nearly 400 students from churches across the southeast for Unidiversity Youth Camp at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville from July 20-25.  Students participated in Bible study, worship, and recreation while reflecting on the weeks theme of “It’s Complicated”.  The theme encouraged students to consider how complicated all of life’s relationships are, particularly in instances where trust can be broken and people are hurt.  Other daily themes included commitment, influence, and purpose.  Scripture passages for the week focused on the relationship between Jesus and Peter and how their relationship was complicated at times.

Students were able to choose from seminars on a variety of topics ranging from Personality Types and Spiritual Practices to the Gospel According to the Simpsons.  Other options included Discussing Perceptions of Race and Yoga.  Additionally, students were able to choose elective activities in the afternoon each day.  Some enjoyed playing basketball, football, or completing a crossfit routine.  Others played guitar and made Pinterest crafts.

Overall it was a wonderful week of fellowship and experiencing God.  Please take a look at the week’s highlight video on the below link.
